Two Men Injured in North Park Shooting After Leaving San Diego Bar

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Two men were injured in a shooting early Thursday morning after leaving a bar in San Diego’s North Park neighborhood, authorities said.

The shooting happened at approximately 2 a.m. as the two men were walking south in the 3900 block of 30th Street. According to police, an unknown man approached the victims from behind and opened fire.

One victim, a 42-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to his left foot and was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The second victim, a 33-year-old man, was grazed by a bullet on his hand but declined medical treatment.

Suspect Remains at Large

Police said there was no verbal exchange or physical altercation before the shooting, and neither victim knew the suspected gunman.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s wearing a black hat, black shirt and black jeans. He fled the area on foot following the shooting.

Investigators are continuing to work to determine what prompted the attack and identify the person responsible.
